SOCIAL SERVICE
Consultations by a social worker are provided on social services and legal issues. Our service is directed at families and relatives of patients so as to receive support during the course of the illness. Specifically, Social Service provides:
- Information and course mapping on welfare issues such as benefits, retirement plans, disability certification, support towards uninsured patients according to most recent data and regulations of the Welfare and Health sector of Greece.
- Legal orientation on issues such as guardianship, power of attorney and notarιsation.
- Cooperation with community sectors and other public services for the processing of bureaucratic procedures.
- Social support and consultation to families of patients with dementia who face difficulties in daily care and provision of solutions to issues of rehabilitation.

AIM:
To pursue available social sectors on behalf of caregivers. Informing and claiming benefits and legal procedures facilitating caregivers and their patients. Liaising between the Day Centres and services and sectors with the purpose of developing communities that are friendly towards the elderly.
The aim was to promote healthy ageing through activity and activation, as well as their socialising, the maintenance and improvement of their disposition and cognitive function.
